… a chapter in beautiful Paris

captured by Sylvain Fustier

Last year, I spent several months immersed in France, moving between art, travel, and the quiet rhythm of daily life. Paris became both studio and muse. I worked in a light-filled space, letting the city’s energy seep into my process with days of making, reflecting, and allowing the work to evolve naturally. That period culminated in an intimate exhibition hosted by Cinémorphe - the lovely Carmela Uranga, a moment that felt deeply aligned with where I was creatively and personally.

From Paris, the journey unfolded southward. In Aix-en-Provence, art gave way to wandering open air markets alive with color and texture, sun washed streets, and slow conversations shared with my son and dear friends from New York. These days felt unplanned and perfect, a gentle balance between movement and presence.

Cassis offered a different kind of inspiration. Quiet beach days, dramatic limestone cliffs, and the ever changing blues of the Mediterranean created a sense of suspended time - splendid, dreamlike, and grounding all at once. It was here that travel became a form of meditation, feeding the creative spirit in subtler ways.

I’m especially grateful to have met Sylvain Fustier, who captured this chapter with such sensitivity. His footage reflects not just places, but the feeling of transition - an evolving narrative of art, travel, and becoming.
